Goaltender Jonathan Quick was named the NHL’s second star of the week along with Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby (1st) and Calgary’s Sean Monahan (3rd).
Quick’s week was stellar; in three starts, the Kings’ netminder posted a 3-0-0 mark with a 1.32 GAA and a .953 SV%, including a 32-save shutout performance against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night where he set a new NHL record for most career shutouts (41) by an American-born goaltender.
