Miller, the Kings’ play-by-play voice for 43 seasons, took in the playoff opener in a suite and greeted crowd during the first period on the jumbotron.
“It’s great to be back here at STAPLES Center tonight, although I haven’t fully recovered from the quadruple bypass heart surgery and I’m not able to do the play-by-play on the games,” Miller said. “I wanted to be here tonight to thank all of you sincerely for your thoughts and prayers, your get-well wishes, your cards, letters, and all of your e-mails.
