St. Louis right wing Ryan Reaves was fined $3,024.10 on Wednesday by the NHL's Department of Player Safety for roughing, in an incident involving Kings center Anze Kopitar.
That is the maximum allowable fine under terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
Kopitar was injured in the first period of Tuesday's game in St. Louis with about 7:40 remaining, in the area in front of the Blues' net. Reaves' elbow caught Kopitar in the face.
Kopitar skated off slowly to the bench, bleeding from the mouth, and the Kings' team trainer attended to him.
Kopitar did not play in the second or third periods of the Kings' 3-0 victory.
