On January 6, Kings’ general manager Dean Lombardi acquired veteran forward Vincent Lecavalier and defenseman Luke Schenn for Jordan Weal and a third-round draft pick, bostering a couple of soft spots in the team’s roster as the organization prepares for another run at the Stanley Cup.
According to Kings assistant general manager Rob Blake, adding Lecavalier was “the opportunity to get a star player who’s near the end of his career, is willing to buy-in, accept a role to help a team win.”
