Anze Kopitar represented Slovenia, Marian Gaborik Slovakia, Trevor Lewis USA, and Tyler Toffoli, Jake Muzzin, Martin Jones, Canada. Kopitar’s Slovenia and Gaborik’s Slovakia were eliminated following round-robin play, USA and Canada will move on to the quarterfinals of the elimination round.

Kopitar rejoined his Slovenia squad just over a year after they made a splash and opened eyes around the hockey world with their surprisingly solid performance during the 2015 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.

Unfortunately, things did not go as well for the Slovenians in Prague, finishing with a 1-0-0-6 record – 8th place in Group B, and 16th place overall.
