Adrian Kempe explodes for hat-trick

The native of Kramfors, Sweden, who the Kings drafted 29th overall in the 1st-round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, scored all three of his goals in the second period on goaltender John Gibson – a name Kings fans have heard before.

Kempe piggybacked the Reign to their sixth win of the season, the club bouncing back strong from the first regulation loss they suffered last Sunday. Ontario, now 6-1-2 with 14 points in the standings, sit at second in the Pacific Division, and third in the Western Conference.

Now with eight points (4G, 4A) to his name in nine games played, Kempe is third on the Reign in scoring and sixth among all rookies in the American Hockey League.
