2017 NHL Entry Draft Kings Take D Mikey Anderson 103rd Overall

The Los Angeles Kings have a wealth of defensemen — some good, some less good. At 103rd overall, they took Mikey Anderson, who was ranked 51st in the overall NHL CS Rankings per Jon Rosen.

The University of Minnesota-Duluth commit played in the USHL with the Waterloo Black Hawks and posted 50 points in 111 games. Anderson was on the USHL All-Rookie Second Team in 2015-16 and in 2016-2017 was on the USHL Second All-Star Team per EliteProspects.com.

At 5’11, he might be considered slightly undersized but his 194lb frame will probably come in handy down the road.
