The United States and Mexico received two very different paths to the knockout stages at the 2016 Copa America Centenario draw in New York on Sunday.
The U.S. were drawn into the Group of Death with Colombia, Costa Rica and Paraguay chosen as the Americans' Group A rivals. The Americans open the tournament on June 3 against tournament favorite Colombia at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara before taking on taking on Costa Rica at Chicago's Soldier Field four days later. The USMNT close the group stage on June 11 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
Compared to the Americans, Giovani dos Santos' Mexico side earned a very favorable draw in Group C.
