CARSON, Calif. – Three Los Angeles venues have been listed by the United Bid Committee of the United States, Mexico, and Canada to serve as potential hosts for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Rose Bowl, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and the under-construction Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park were included on the list of 49 stadiums across 44 candidate cities who contacted by the committee to gauge their interest in hosting duties.
Cities that declare their interest by Sept. 5 will then be reviewed and placed on a shortlist of locations by late September. The official bid must be submitted to FIFA by March 16, 2018.
