LOS ANGELES – Three LA Galaxy Academy players have been named to the U.S. U-17 squad for the upcoming U-17 CONCACAF Championships.
Mauricio Cuevas, Kobe Hernandez-Foster, and Adam Saldana were named to head coach Raphael Wicky’s 20-player roster for the CONCACAF Championships at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The tournament will also serve as the region’s qualifying tournament for the 2019 U-17 World Cup in Brazil later this year, with four spots up for grabs.
All three players recently took part in the GA Cup with the Galaxy, helping the team reach the quarterfinals before falling in extra time to English side West Ham United.
