Beginning in 2020 the Los Angeles Xtreme of the XFL, the alternative football league created by WWE mogul Vince McMahon, will play their home games at the StubHub Center in Carson. (If you recall the XFL originally launched in 2001 as a joint venture between McMahon and NBC Sports, but the league lasted just one year before folding due to poor ratings) Led by quarterback Tommy Maddox, the Xtreme won the inaugural championship at the LA Coliseum in a contest dubbed “The Million Dollar Game”.
