CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy will be without Romain Alessandrini for this weekend’s match with New York City FC, head coach Sigi Schmid confirmed.
Schmid told reporters on Wednesday that Alessandrini suffered a right hamstring strain during the first half of the Galaxy’s 2-1 victory over the Portland Timbers. The injury occurred just minutes after the French midfielder notched the game-winner to give Los Angeles the win in their first match of the campaign.
“He has a little bit of a hamstring strain,” head coach Sigi Schmid told reporters. “He went back to the doctor today, so we’ll have a better idea what the long-term prognosis is.
