The LA Galaxy formally announced the signing of Dutch right back Pele Van Anholt, yesterday. Now, he’s not a striker the team desperately needs, or a midfielder to help depth.
What is he then? Glad you asked! He’s primarily a right back, which is another sore spot in our starting XI.
With Robbie Rogers hurt (who knows when he’s coming back), we’ve had to rely on Bradley Diallo and Nathan Smith for a majority of the matches this season. And, while they aren’t terrible options, it just seems as if the duo aren’t quite ready for this level of play yet.
