CARSON, Calif. – Robbie Keane will end his storied international career with the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday when the Irish face off against Oman in his 146th and final cap for the Irish.
The 36-year-old forward will end his international career as the highest goal scorer in Irish history with 67 career goals. As he prepares for his final appearance for the Irish national team, the longtime captain for club and country says that it’s been an “emotional week.”
"It's been an emotional week. It's been surreal. I've dreaded this day for a long time [but] it's the right time for me," said Keane.
