Robbie Keane will not have revenge on his mind when the Republic of Ireland take on France in their Euro 2016 Round of 16 contest.
Sunday’s match will be the first meeting between the Irish and France since Thierry Henry’s controversial handball aided William Gallas winner helped the French advance past Ireland in their 2010 World Cup qualifying playoff series in November 2009.
Keane, who has made two appearances for the Irish at Euro 2016, scored in France’s 2-1 dramatic victory in 2009, but admits that the match will not be motivation for Ireland in Lyon on Sunday.
