The LA Galaxy hosted the San Jose Earthquakes, as the Cali Clasico kicked off rivalry week in the MLS on Friday. San Jose came in looking to throw their hat into the playoff race with a win, while the Galaxy were looking to keep the pressure on near the top of the West. In the end, it was the Quakes who had luck go their way, with a late Galaxy own goal, winning 2-1.
It was the visitors who came out with a forceful first half. Putting together a few good looks while keeping the Galaxy from getting behind their defense.
