Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill believes that Robbie Keane could be available for Ireland's Euro 2016 opener against Sweden on Monday.
The LA Galaxy captain and Ireland all-time leading goal scorer has been sidelined with a calf injury that forced him to miss both of the nation's Euro 2016 tune-up friendlies. Keane recently returned to training and could be available for Monday's crucial group stage match against Sweden in Paris.
"Fingers crossed. It's looking more positive than six or seven days ago," O'Neill told FAI TV. "Robbie himself said that he's a quick healer, he's doing fine at the moment.
