The PRO has announced that an assistant referee in LA Galaxy’s match against Sporting KC wrongfully called an offsides on Sebastian Lletget and Mike Magee. The incorrect decision negated a goal that was scored by Lletget off of a pass from Giovani dos Santos. This was a crucial missed call.
We all know that mistakes happen and missed calls by referees are just a part of soccer but this controversial decision resulted in a game changing moment. The scoreless draw between the two sides did not have very many chances and goals were impossible to come by. This could have been the match winner if the correct call was made.
