LOS ANGELES – The LA Galaxy earned a 4-1 win over Japanese club Vissel Kobe in the first preseason game under new manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto.
Ola Kamara scored twice and Ema Boateng added another in the match played over four 30-minute periods. Vissel Kobe found the back of the net with a tally from Brazilian striker Wellington, but also added an own goal just moments before the end of the second period.
But the most dramatic moment came around the 60th minute when goalkeeper David Bingham stonewalled Andres Iniesta penalty kick and then came up big to halt the Spaniard on the rebound.
