Major League Soccer, the LA Galaxy and Southern New Hampshire University have announced the Back of the Net initiative, a project that partners with the United Service Organization (USO) to celebrate and give back to veterans during the month of July.
During a two-week period beginning Friday, July 1 and ending Wednesday, July 13, $2,000 will be donated by Southern New Hampshire University to the USO for each goal scored in MLS matches. In addition, the Galaxy, other MLS clubs and the league itself will be posting to Twitter with the call to retweet for an additional dollar donation.
