MLS commissioner Don Garber and U.S. Women’s Soccer legends Brandi Chastain, and Shannon MacMillan were elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame Class of 2016.
Garber joins the Hall of Fame on the Builder Ballot after 17 years as the Major League Soccer’s commissioner. In addition to running MLS, Garber also serves as the CEO of Soccer United Marketing, which is responsible for staging a variety of soccer events across the United States.
“Thanks to the commitment and hard work of many people, our sport has grown significantly during the last few decades, and there is no doubt the United States is a true soccer nation,” said Garber.
