MLS announced on Friday that players will be permitted to conduct individual workouts on outdoor team training fields from Wednesday, May 6. The workouts, which must be conducted in compliance with detailed health and safety protocols created in consultation with medical and infectious disease experts, will be voluntary and cannot conflict with local public health official or government policies, the league said.
A team training moratorium has been in place since the league suspended play on March 12 due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and is currently set to run through May 15.
