Major League Soccer announced the 2016 Generation adidas class on Wednesday, confirming the signing of the first five talented NCAA underclassmen who will enter the professional ranks through the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, presented by adidas, on Jan. 14 in Baltimore, Maryland. The league also announced that it has signed Stanford defender and 2015 NCAA Men’s College Cup winner Brandon Vincent ahead of the SuperDraft.
North Carolina midfielder Omar Holness was subsequently added to the 2016 crop and has joined his colleagues at the adidas MLS Player Combine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Leading the 2016 GA class is Georgetown defender Josh Yaro, the Big East's 2015 Defensive Player of the Year.
