LA Galaxy II (6-7-8, 26 points) secured all three points with a 3-1 victory over Tulsa Roughnecks FC (4-10-6, 18 points) on Wednesday night at ONEOK Field in Tulsa, Okla.
Tulsa Roughnecks FC were first to the scoreboard, capitalizing on a mistake from Los Dos goalkeeper Eric Lopez in the third minute. Tulsa’s Fredlin Mompremier laid one off to Rodrigo da Costa after pulling Lopez out of position, creating enough space for da Costa to find the back of the net.
However, LA Galaxy II began their comeback in the 27th minute. LA Galaxy Boys’ Academy product Jorge Hernandez provided a great ball from far post that Nate Shultz headed home, recording his first goal of the season, as well as his first goal with LA Galaxy II.
