Major League Soccer to provide more than 50,000 tickets to frontline and essential workers during 2021 season

NEW YORK, N.Y. (Friday, April 16, 2021) – To honor the extraordinary efforts of frontline and essential personnel during the ongoing pandemic, Major League Soccer announced today that more than 50,000 complimentary match tickets will be distributed to these heroes and their families by the League and its clubs throughout the 2021 season.

MLS clubs will select the recipients of the tickets in their communities and recognize the honorees at games. Among the many groups to be hosted by MLS clubs at matches will be healthcare personnel, First Responders, educators, manufacturers, and food industry workers.

“Major League Soccer is proud to show our gratitude to the essential workers who have inspired us by their service and sacrifice during what continues to be an extremely challenging time,” said Commissioner Don Garber.
