CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Feb. 29, 2016) – The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has waived defender Dan Gargan and forward Ignacio Maganto. Gargan, a 10-year MLS veteran, departs after joining the club ahead of the 2014 season. Maganto, a 2015 MLS SuperDraft selection, departs after a year with the Galaxy.
Gargan, 33, made 54 MLS appearances for the Galaxy since signing with the team ahead of the 2014 season. The 10-year MLS veteran helped the club to its fifth MLS Cup trophy, playing 30 minutes in the Galaxy’s 2-1 win over the New England Revolution in the 2014 MLS Cup.
