The LA Galaxy hosted USL Championship side San Diego Loyal Saturday afternoon in a preseason scrimmage, and the Galaxy came away with a 1-0 win in the first 60-minute game, a 1-1 draw in the second set.
The goal in the first game was scored by Galaxy homegrown Jonathan Perez, who seems to have his shooting boots on in preseason and could find his breakthrough into the first team this year.
Greg Vanney’s opening lineup for the game was largely focused on the youngsters, with basically only Daniel Steres and Sacha Kljestan showing major experience for the XI.
