The LA Galaxy have some selection concerns ahead of Wednesday’s game against FC Dallas, and may have addressed that, by signing midfielder Daniel Aguirre on a one-year deal with three option years beyond that.
The 22-year-old began his professional career this season with LA Galaxy II, signing in April ahead of the season opener. The UC Riverside product was used extensively with the first team in preseason by head coach Greg Vanney, and it appears his start to his pro career leaves the organization confident he can contribute now in MLS.
“Daniel is a talented midfielder who has made a positive impact during his time with LA Galaxy II and he has been rewarded with a first-team contract,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese in a team statement.
