The Galaxy organization has come under fire in recent years for failing to adequately develop young players in a region rich with talent. That being said, it is encouraging that academy players are starting to successfully land the three-tiered jump from the Galaxy academy to Los Dos and finally the first team.
Recent signing Diedie Traore echoes this trend, and now 20-year old striker Ethan Zubak has been handed a Homegrown Player contract after three years with Los Dos.
“Ethan has been an important part of LA Galaxy II’s steady progression over the past three seasons,” general manager Dennis te Kloese.
