The LA Galaxy continue to add pieces to the 2019 roster, selecting veteran goalkeeper Matt Lampson in Stage 2 of today’s Re-Entry draft. This gives the club exclusive rights to negotiate with the 29-year old, who is expected to sign a contract.

A two-time MLS Works Humanitarian of the Year, Lampson should provide solid depth at the keeper position.

Lampson, 29, will join his fourth MLS club should he agree to terms with the Galaxy. He spent 2018 with Minnesota United, where he made eight appearances. He got his start in MLS in 2012 after signing a Homegrown contract with Columbus Crew SC, for whom he made 16 appearances across four seasons while also spending time on loan in the USL.
