LA Galaxy midfielder Efrain Alvarez has been called up by the Mexican Youth National Team U-17s for training camp in preparation for the UC Cup in Chile. Alvarez will train with the team from Dec. 4-7 at the High Performance Center of the Mexican Football Federation.
The Mexican Youth National Team will then travel to Chile and open the competition on Wednesday, Dec. 12 against Paraguay. The tournament finals will be played on Dec. 15 and 16.
The call up will mark Alvarez's fourth time joining the Mexican Youth National Team U-17s this year. In July, Alvarez was called up to play in four international matches that were played in San Jose, Costa Rica.
