LOS ANGELES (Tuesday, April 6, 2021) – The LA Galaxy announced today the launch of the Galaxy Discovery Program (GDP), a free, exclusive, immersive and supplemental youth training program that will extend the pipeline to the LA Galaxy Academy by actively identifying, cultivating and elevating youth players that are dedicated to succeeding in their soccer career and with the LA Galaxy.
Players (boys and girls) must be between the ages of 8-16 and invited to the program by the LA Galaxy. A player can be identified through an LA Galaxy Youth Camp (multi-day, specialized training) or a free GDP assessment session (90-minute opportunity for players to showcase their individual abilities).
