It was something of an attacker’s duel, but in the end LA Galaxy II grabbed an edge to come from behind to beat Las Vegas Lights FC 3-2 Tuesday in USL Championship action.
Quincy Amarikwa, an experienced MLS forward now playing for Las Vegas, set up two early goals to put the visitors ahead, before a brace by Augustine Williams overturned the result for Los Dos, and pushed them back up to 2nd place in Group B.
The scoring started in the 22nd minute, as Seth Moses received a throughball from Amarikwa to give Las Vegas the lead, before Yamikani Chester added a second goal six minutes later, set up similarly by Amarikwa.
