LOS ANGELES -- An LA Galaxy icon said goodbye to the sport on Sunday.
Former Galaxy forward Alan Gordon announced his retirement following a 15-year MLS career. Gordon made stops at Portland Timbers, Chivas USA, Toronto FC, San Jose Earthquakes, Colorado Rapids, and Chicago Fire, but enjoyed his most success with the LA Galaxy.
An MLS Cup winner in 2005 and 2014, Gordon scored 93 goals in competitive matches across 10 seasons for the Galaxy.
"I consider myself very lucky and blessed to have been a part of the continued growth of Major League Soccer," said Gordon in a statement.
