LA Galaxy get allocation money from Houston Dynamo for Ariel Lassiter’s MLS rights

Ariel Lassiter has signed for the Houston Dynamo, and in order to complete the deal, the LA Galaxy received $50,000 in general allocation money for the player’s MLS rights, the club announced Monday.

The Galaxy could get an additional $100,000 in general allocation money from the Dynamo if certain performance metrics are met, as outlined as part of the trade.

Lassiter joins the Dynamo on loan after a successful stint with Costa Rican club Alajuelense, which he joined last year after being cut by the Galaxy. Signed as a homegrown by LA in 2015, Lassiter was a monster at USL level for Los Dos but did not get consistent playing time for the first team and scored one goal for the Galaxy first team in 25 appearances.
