The LA Galaxy Foundation continued their “Protect the Pitch” initiative by hosting 50 students from Carson Street Elementary at Dignity Health Sports Park on Thursday, September 12th. LA Galaxy Champion Project students kicked their field trip off with a stadium tour where they visited the press box, sat in an event suite and walked on the main field. The tour concluded at the Galaxy Garden where they met, Chris Hybl, Communications & Digital Specialist and member of the LA Galaxy Gardening Club. In the garden, students potted their own basil plants to take home with them. Additionally, one lucky student picked a watermelon growing in the garden for that afternoon’s cooking class.
