On Thursday, January 30, the LA Galaxy Foundation welcomed forty-five students from Towne Avenue Elementary School for a Protect the Pitch field trip at Dignity Health Sports Park.
With their school across the street, these fourth and fifth graders walked over and started their field trip by watching the LA Galaxy Boys’ Academy U-17 team practice penalty kicks. As a thank you for watching, all the Academy players gave high-fives and took photos with all the students in attendance.
After Academy training, students took a stadium tour where they visited the trophy case, press box and took photos on the main pitch.
