On November 1, the LA Galaxy Foundation hosted their third annual Shoes That Fit event at Catskill Avenue Elementary School. Shoes That Fit is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids improve their self-esteem by providing low-income youth with a pair of shoes so they can go to school in comfort and focus on their studies instead of their circumstances.
For this Galaxy Giving event, LA Galaxy staff and LA Galaxy Girls’ Academy adopted 100 elementary school students and outfitted them in brand new adidas athletic shoes.
The shoe distribution kicked off with Catskill Avenue Elementary School Principal, Suzanne Zopatti, and LA Galaxy Girls’ Academy player, Ashleigh Heely, greeting the Catskill students.
