Guillermo Barros Schelotto made two changes to the lineup: Efrain Alvarez replaced Joe Corona in the central attacking position while David Bingham made way for Matt Lampson.
The Galaxy were recycling the ball around well enough but struggled to create clear opportunities. Unfortunately Vancouver went ahead off a corner kick when Doneil Henry was first at the back post to shuffle the ball past.
