On a cloudy Sunday afternoon at Dignity Health Sports Park, the LA Galaxy had nothing to offer to the supporters, meekly falling to the Rapids in an offensive deprived match.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic out the first of two matches due to violent conduct, LA had plenty of possession the first half but struggled mightily in the final third. Favio Alvarez demonstrated his technical ability, but it was the Rapids who ended the half in control of the match.
Uriel Antuna and Rolf Feltscher had early chances in the second half but the Galaxy were anemic in attack, loading up cross after cross to no avail.
