MINNEAPOLIS --- The LA Galaxy and Minnesota United are both on the rise after slow starts to the 2017 season, but the Galaxy are hoping to send the Loons back into a spiral ahead of the first-ever meeting between the two clubs.
The Galaxy are riding a three-game unbeaten run highlighted by the squad’s 3-1 road victory over the New York Red Bulls last week at Red Bull Arena. Meanwhile, Minnesota sit level on points with the Galaxy with 11 in their opening 11 matches after starting the season with just one win in five games.
“We’re hoping to put them back where they started,” midfielder Baggio Husidic said of the Loons who have seven points in their last five games.
