If the past 48 hours are any indication, the LA Galaxy organization are set to make a late move in the transfer market ahead of the May 7th deadline.
Wednesday reports around Argentina strongly suggested the Galaxy were in advanced negotiations to bring Favio Alvarez to LA on a six-month loan. Thursday the club shipped $225,000 of General Allocation Money (GAM) to Minnesota United FC in exchange for $325,000 in Targeted Allocation Money (TAM), and a day later $225,000 of GAM was sent to Columbus for $300,000 in TAM.
“It is no secret that making multiple GAM for TAM trades is a vital step in continuing to compete in the global market,” General Manager Dennis te Kloese said at the time.
