LA Galaxy defender Pele Van Anholt suffers torn ACL and MCL

The 2017 season has been an unrelenting wave of bad news for Galaxy fans, and we’re afraid there’s more negative word on the injury front.

Pele Van Anholt revealed on his Instagram page that the right back has been diagnosed with torn ACL and MCL ligaments on his right knee, a significant setback that will put the Dutchman out at least six months. During the first half of Sunday’s match vs. the Earthquakes, Van Anholt collided with Marco Ureña and had to be stretchered off the pitch.

Kevin Baxter believes Van Anholt will be out until next spring.
