LOS ANGELES (Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020) – The LA Galaxy announced today that defender Danilo Acosta underwent successful surgery on his left leg Friday afternoon at Cedars Sinai Kerlan Jobe Institute in Santa Monica. Acosta had ACL reconstruction and medial meniscal root repair, which was performed by Clint Soppe and Bert Mandelbaum. He is expected to be out for 7-9 months.
Acosta, 22, suffered the injury during the club’s preseason contest last weekend against Toronto FC.
