LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016) – The LA Galaxy announced today the winners of the club’s 2016 awards. Forward Giovani dos Santos won 2016 LA Galaxy Player of the Year, presented by Herbalife Nutrition, in addition to earning Golden Boot honors. Defender Jelle Van Damme won LA Galaxy Defender of the Year and Gyasi Zardes was named LA Galaxy Humanitarian of the Year. LA Galaxy II forward Jack McBean won LA Galaxy II Player of the Year and Golden Boot honors while goalkeeper Clement Diop won LA Galaxy II Defender of the Year and Lee Nishanian was named LA Galaxy II Humanitarian of the Year.
