The LA Galaxy have acquired 28-year-old goalkeeper David Bingham’s right of first refusal from the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for $100,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) and $100,000 in Targeted Allocation Money (TAM), the club announced today.
The 2016 MLS All-Star selection has played seven seasons with the San Jose Earthquakes, making 95 starts and accruing 27 shutouts and 288 total saves while earning a 1.24 goals against average (GAA) throughout his career, the seventh-best among any active goalkeeper in Major League Soccer.
Bingham signed with MLS as a Generation adidas player following the 2011 MLS SuperDraft before landing in San Jose after a weighted lottery on Jan.
