The LA Galaxy had a great opening-day win and now they’ll hope to make it a great home opener as well, as they host the New York Red Bulls Sunday afternoon at Dignity Health Sports Park.
LA beat Inter Miami 3-2 in a comeback effort a week ago, Chicharito’s brace and Sacha Kljestan’s late strike besting efforts from Robbie Robinson and Gonzalo Higuain. Chicharito got the monkey off his back and hopefully that’s for good, he’ll just keep banging in the goals.
They’re facing a Red Bulls side that is in their first full season with head coach Gerhard Struber and they lost at home 2-1 in Week 1.
