LOS ANGELES -- Former LA Galaxy defender Sean Franklin announced his retirement last week, calling time on a 10-year professional career.
Franklin, a two-time, MLS All-Star, made nearly 300 appearances in Major League Soccer with stops at the LA Galaxy, D.C. United and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. A Southern California native, Franklin enjoyed his best stint with the Galaxy where he won a host of trophies including two MLS Cups, two Supporters' Shields as well as the 2008 MLS Rookie of the Year Award.
