Giovani dos Santos will not be returning to Mexico’s roster for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against El Salvador and Honduras.
Mexico head coach Juan Carlos Osorio named his squad for next month’s matches against the Central American opponents. The matches have little importance for Mexico, who has already booked passage to the next round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying.
Dos Santos has not suited up with Mexico since the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The 27-year-old has nine goals and eight assists in 21 appearances for the Galaxy this season.
