Carlos Vela and Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez scored for El Tri as they earned their second win of their 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign. Hueng-Min Son tallied the lone goal for South Korea in the dying moments of the match.
LA Galaxy forward Giovani dos Santos went 13 minutes in the match to play in his third FIFA World Cup.
Vela put Mexico ahead in the 26th on a penalty kick after the handball in the box by a South Korea defender.
